PIAM has partnered with Cardinal Health to offer a wide range of products
to MMS members including: Medical Supplies, Surgical Supplies, Laboratory
Products (including diagnostic test kits), Point of Care analyzers and capital
equipment. Additionally, Cardinal Health also offers all the furniture and
equipment to outfit a new facility. Special programs include:
1. Special product promotions just for MMS members.
2. Introduction of new products and new technology that provide diagnostic
information that may also represent additional reimbursement for the practice.
3. Educational Seminars to providers and staff on relevant industry topics.
4. Continuing Medical Education (CMEs).
5. Introduction of products that interface or integrate with EMR systems
in order to streamline patient flow.
6. Introduction of products that provide staff and/or patient safety and
care.
7. Assistance with equipment specification, new office space planning and
renovations.
A variety of ordering methods will be offered:
• Call-in orders to Ambulatory Care customer service
• Fax orders using a customized fax order guide
• Web Based Ordering on Cardinal.com
• OrderConnect, “scanning technology” which allows customers
to scan bar codes and drop items into a shopping cart
• ParConnect, which combines scanning technology and inventory management
• EDI and other connectivity from member’s enterprise systems
to Cardinal.
